Core composition and process of Geogrid Production Line
Raw material handling system
Raw material selection: Polyester (PET), high density polyethylene (HDPE), glass fiber, etc.
Drying and mixing: to ensure that the raw materials are free of moisture, add anti-aging agents, ultraviolet stabilizer and other modified materials.
Extrusion molding
Melt extrusion: The raw material is heated and melted by a single or twin screw extruder to form a continuous sheet or strip substrate.
Calendering and pre-punching: A regular distribution of holes or grid prototypes is pressed on the sheet.
Directional stretching (key step)
Longitudinal stretching (MD) : unidirectional stretching at high temperatures to increase longitudinal tensile strength.
Bidirectional stretching (MD & TD) (for bidirectional geogrates) : Lateral stretching increases transverse strength and forms a grid structure.
Cooling setting
Rapid cooling via water-cooled or air-cooled systems fixes the molecular orientation and mesh shape.
Surface treatment and coating
Coating process: Some products need to be coated with asphalt, PVC or other materials to enhance corrosion resistance or interface friction.
Cutting and winding
Cut into coils or sheets according to specifications, and automatically roll up the package.
Quality inspection
Test items: tensile strength, joint strength, aperture uniformity, UV resistance, etc
